Leftside Artists’ Point (Pastel) by John Heckman
A brief hike through a small stand of boreal forest, and you face Lake Superior at Artists’ Point in Grand Marais, Minnesota. The corrugated lava rock outcropping has been a plein-air creation point and inspiration to northwoods artists, painters, and poets for over a hundred years. There are initials scrawled into the rock dating back to the late 1800’s.
CT2 will make a stop, pay our respects, breathe some Gitchee Gumee air.
